Depending on your goals you may test:
- Monthly (e.g. on the last Sunday of each month, aiming for 10am)
- Weekly (e.g. on a Wednesday at the same time)
- Daily
- During special events (e.g. when it’s raining heavily or when an alarm is triggered)
- Continuously
- Yearly (e.g. ice on/off)
You may also have timebound monitoring:
- A blitz event, when you test at many locations during a small period of time
- For a set study period to gather specific information for an intervention (e.g. 8 weeks)
- Before and after an intervention for a set period of time
