Frequency

Depending on your goals you may test:

  • Monthly (e.g. on the last Sunday of each month, aiming for 10am)
  • Weekly (e.g. on a Wednesday at the same time)
  • Daily
  • During special events (e.g. when it’s raining heavily or when an alarm is triggered)
  • Continuously
  • Yearly (e.g. ice on/off)

You may also have timebound monitoring:

  • A blitz event, when you test at many locations during a small period of time
  • For a set study period to gather specific information for an intervention (e.g. 8 weeks)
  • Before and after an intervention for a set period of time
