Any group needs a bit of admin to keep it on track and to keep things straight.
We need to ensure that everyone is happy with how you are holding and managing information about them, especially when young people are involved.
Other tasks include ordering the kit you need for testing, ensuring that whatever consumables are used in tests are available, and keeping the kit in good condition and calibrating it regularly.
Then there’s funding – volunteers give their time and often contribute funds too, but to support a group for a regular test programme, you’ll need to apply for grants or funds from local councils, supermarkets, pubs, and businesses. Learn more about fundraising here.
